you can send a free VIDEO postcard.
I was in epcot mexico today and just learned that where the kids do the mask there is a machine that you can send out a video postcard to your email or a friend. It is really cute - It takes your picture and then you choose one of 4 backgrounds that you want to apply your video to.
Just an FYI to any making a trip soon

I didn't know about the video postcard. When we were there in September we sent a picture from the Kodak labs at Imagination Station. We were able to "doctor" the picture and email it to our friends and family for free. Even got to include a little note. Different stations have differents heights of the camera to accomondate different size people. Very few people were aware of this on the day that we were there! ::MickeyMo

I never knew about the one in Maxico either. Cool. You learn something new every day.

Two days ago we sent the video clip (8 seconds) from Innoventions and my family still hasn't received it via email. Today is our last park day so I thinkwe'll head over to Epcot and try to find it in Mexico and do it again.

We sent the postcards to ourselves from the Mexico pavilion a couple of months ago. Still haven't received them. It was fun to do, just don't count on having them when you get home.

I sent two to my mom yesterday and had her check about 5 minutes after I sent them and she got them. Maybe they improved something.

I "discovered" this little gem while visiting the Mexico pavilion in January with DD and DW. We wouldn't have found it if DD wasn't hooked on doing the masks. We sent them to the grandparents and ourselves -- ours was waiting for us when I checked our email from SSR.

Hey :wave2:

I haven't heard of this video postcard before could anyone explain to me how it's done? Is the video taken at Disney or do you have to use your own camera? :confused3 i'm totally clueless about this one lol. There's someone in our party who'd love to tinker with it though :teeth: lol

Thanks :goodvibes

Another thing I will have to make sure we do when we are at Epcot. Send them to a few people and of course myself. :cool1:

The machine takes the picture. You get your self set up and when you are ready you hit the record button. Then in 3 seconds it snaps the picture and you choose the setting for your video.

Sounds cool, we will have to try it.
We sent emails from Imagination Pavillion and Innoventions last year and never got them, either. Even sent them to 2 addies. Oh well, maybe mexico will work for us.

Thanks for the reply 2buzzboys :goodvibes

I didn't know about the one in Mexico. Will have to check it out. :)

You can also send a video clip postcard from Mission Space. They have some cute ones to choose from. The one I chose took my picture and put my face in as an astronaut. It showed me coming down a ladder to step onto the moon's surface but falling off the ladder instead. :teeth:

Is this video or a picture? You keep saying you hit the record button, which leads me to believe that this is video. But then you say that in 3 second it snaps the picture, which makes me believe that this is a picture. At the end you sayd you choose the settings, which is the same thing you do for the pictures but you conclude with "for your video".
