Did you know that all the Tink pins sold today have GPS chips installed in them?

So are you wondering why Disney released so many low editions Dragon, and Tink pins, especially the low edition Cast Tinkerbell pin?

Well that is because as I found out today when I was talking to a friend of a friend that works in the imagineering Dept, who showed me the forms that Disney used to file with the FCC to get a frequency allotment for the new tracing technology they have installed in those pins.

In the form Disney claims it’s a marketing tool to see where and when the pins where sold that’s all. (Right)

The chip emits a low frequency signal that is activates when a scanner turns them on by IR waves like your remote control. So when you buy the pins the scanner turns them on. They work much like a GPS sender, Disney can then track the location of the pins down to a ½ a block radius. So all they have to do is use the new low orbiting XM satellites to scan the neighborhoods looking for the chip signatures, or scan eBay with special monitors to see where the pin ends up.

I was told they set up a deal with eBay so when you scan, or take a picture of your pin to list, they can view the ID with a special infrared monitor. This was said was a way that they were going to crack down on people that sell on Ebay once and for all.

I don’t agree with this, and I think it’s wrong. Its too much like Orwell’s 1984 and Big Brother. So first things first put all you Tink and dragon pins in the freezer to block the signal. Delete you pictures off any auction you have going, but realize its to late as the eBay servers have them and your user ID on file.

Next dip all your pins in dawn dishwashing detergent to try to remove the special ink that can not be seen but rubbed of the receipt they gave you that you transferred onto your pins today when you touched them. And for gosh sakes wash your hands that ink is traceable by the scanners at Disney, and every pin is has a different color, and since there are over 50 million colors in the color light spectrum they can trace the origin of up to 50 million pins.

Imagine the look of surprise when that innocent cute cast member takes you pins, scans them, looks up smiles and tells you, that you already bought 6 of these pins… 2 at 3:15 from register 23009… 2 at 3:24 from register 23005, and you will trade for 2 tonight at 7:34pm at DTD from pin trader 56993. Therefore you can not purchase 2 more as according to the database there are only two people in you family, and since you wife is located at coordinates Latitude255 Longitude 23 and you are at Latitude290 Longitude 34 you do not have a valid person to buy these pins.

Next wrap a wet towel around your head and say gee Ed had me until that last line. To all those that bought it you have been Zinged... Have a nice day.
