Pyrex can be dangerous. My sister had a pyrex glass pan of some sort explode on her. There were bits and pieces of glass in her hard wood floor and her cabinets. Talk about dangerous.

Oh no kidding! We had one explode in the oven here, the sound was unlike anything I'd ever heard before. Thankfully the oven was shut and the glass caused no damage to it. I can only imagine what that could have been like had it not been contained like that.
