Did you go to Bagdad for vacation?

I went to CVS today to make some scapbook pages. Long story...And a man comes in to pick up some film. He has about 5 rolls. As the girl about 25, hands him his completed pictures. She says.....(and I take no dramatic liberty here) Those photos are beautiful. Where are they taken? The man says BAGDAD. She says Did you go there on vacation? The man leans over and says like he has had a stroke. Did I go on vacation to BAGDAD? The girl says yeh....
He very calmy says My wife is an army nurse who is stationed there. They are her photos. She responds and I swear..... Wow it looks pretty cool. ( She either said pretty cool, or real cool, I think pretty cool. I was a little shocked) He says louder this time. BAGDAD IS A WAR ZONE. YOU ARE AWARE THERE IS A WAR GOING ON THERE!!!! ANd he just walked away.

Now I ask you. Can anyone be that STUPID!!!!

The girl could see the photos. Because she was running the one hour machine. She printed them and cut them.
I think If it wasn't so sensetive for the guy, I would have died laughing. He just was so incredulous. That My SIL and I... Honestly could say nothing.

reminds me of the 20 something girl at the counter of local donut place,, we went in asked for a dozen glazed and a dozen mixed donuts to trake to a job site where there were several ppl working,, she couldnt get that,, so dw had to point at each donut and say 2 of these and2 of these and 2 of thes e etc,, even had to point out the glazed donuts,, she was tryingto sell her plain for glazed..lol.. kids are soo inteligent these days

This must have been the same clerk that my friends and I got at Sears once. One of my friends ( the husband ) is German, the wife is Spanish as well as me .
When we talk, the husband and I mix German with Spanish and English . With her is a mix of Spanish and Catalan . One day we were at Sears and the clerk goes to the husband, what language is that? he says German, I'm from Germany , and my wife and my friend are from Spain. Then she goes, oh yes, they speak European right? I looked at my friend and I had to laugh , we both said we never knew we spoke European!!

A friend of my BIL said it is actually very pretty there (obviously not in the war zones). So perhaps the pictures didn't show ALL destruction. He had said if it wasn't Iraq, he would consider taking a leisurely visit there.

I may be missing something about the story though.
