Did you get your BF items you wanted?

Yes. It took an hour online andI kept refreashing but scored 3 8gb memory cards for my son's new PS Vita at Gamestop.com. Saved almost $50 at 1:30 am and did not have to go out.

I was hoping to get the 3dsxl at target I stayed up a little past midnight and it was still normal price. Now I see it probably dropped right after I quit looking. Dd never mentioned needing the xl so I got the regular size 3ds with luigis mansion at toys r us for 150. I was going to purchase luigis mansion anyway so it worked out

Dh got a few b1get40% off Xbox one games for his xbox one he will get on Xmas

Got the iPod nano from best buy for 99 and Disney infinity figures b1g1 at GameStop.

I'm pretty much done shopping. I have a few things in my amazon cart for my mother and sister but desktop died last night so I have to wait until Dh brings home the laptop after work. I hate shopping on my phone. I hate being without a computer this morning!

Nope. And I'm pretty ticked off.

ONE item I wanted on Black Friday - the Nintendo 3DS for my son.

Target listed on their website that BF prices were to begin at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving. I started checking the site to buy the 3DS all afternoon well into evening hours. Nothing.

Now I'm reading here that the sale started at MIDNIGHT the night prior, a full 20 hours before their stated sale hours!!! Why does a store even bother posting their BF hours if they're not even going to honor it.

I am so peeved with Target right now.

Several years ago, most stores started to have the BF online prices start well before the instore prices. Kohl's went live on Tuesday. Walmart and a bunch of other stores went live at midnight. Target's went live with select items on tuesday and the rest at 3 AM here but I think it varied by time zone. Best Buy went live sometime in the middle of the night. I think Old Navy and LL Bean (at least in my part of the country) were probably the only major stores to wait until Friday to go live with their online sales. If you plan to shop BF online definitely do not wait until the end of Thanksgiving Day to start. If you watch the Budget Board, the start time are often posted about. In fact there was a thread titled Target Online at 3AM. :surfweb:

If possible you may want to check with your local Target today. They had a pallet of the last night at mine, and still had quite a few when I left last night.
Good Luck, Donna

Thanks, Donna! I'll get out this afternoon and check my local Target store for them. Their website says specifically for the $149 price 3DS "not available in stores".... but I've also learned today not to trust anything a store posts on their website, lol.

So far, so good. And I didn't even have to go out last night, or very early this morning. Left the house about 7 AM. However, a lot of my shopping was online earlier this week.

1) HP Printer/Scanner. DD26 is a Best Buy elite member. She was able to get me one for less than $50.

2) Sewing machine for a beginning sewer. Amazon for $49.95.

3) Monopoly for an orphans gift exchange. Originally supposed to be a Wal Mart Black Friday item. However WM put them out on sale at $5 on Friday morning. They were still available at $5 on Saturday afternooon.

4) Zoomer. That's the hot robotic dog toy. Did not find out DGD5 wanted it for Christmas until Tuesday, else i would have bought it at Wal Mart over the weekend. Another item WM marked down last Friday. I did have to go to two WMs for that one. The first WM was sold out. But the second WM probably had about 30 Zoomers on an end-cap.

5) Started out about 7 AM this morning. First stop was Bed, Bath and Beyond to pick up their 20% off entire order throughout today. One use coupon only, and DH wanted to pick out sheets. So i'll wait until he gets home and we'll go out together. Also want to pick up a cooker for DD25's present.

6) Wal Mart. Small items, but i'm very happy. They were all items I wanted that were on sale last night, but not worth braving the crowds for. In particular, Despicable Me for $3.99, a mini electronic chopper for $3.99 and a pair of Hello Kitty pj's for about $6. Plus stock up on canned goods, normally on sale before Thanksgiving, but won't go off sale until probably Monday. Del Monte French style green beans for 50 cents a can? Yes, please.

7) After breakfast at the new Waffle House, went to Krogers to pick up Bed Bath and Beyond gift cards for the trip tonight. Got 4X fuel points, or about 80 cents off a gallon of gas.

Still to come...have my eye on an art set for the orphans home. That's on Amazon at 1 PM. Wish me luck. :)

Definitely keep checking! On Amazon and Target they keep popping back up as in stock.

I went back out this morning and hit the few stores I needed to that didn't open until today. Got everything I needed (and then some).

I got the 50 inch TV from target, there were only 28 and I was number 6. I also got a ton of DVDs. I went to kohls and got stuff for my Christmas angel at work (a big pack of bath wash, some perfume, and a throw) I also got one of the big throws and some cute Christmas socks. Went to Walmart to see if they had anything left I grabbed two DVDs and was home by 10:30pm.

UPDATE

The kids got in line for Target at 6:30 last night. They were offered the 50 inch tv, but we have no use for it. They got the 3ds that was on the front of the store flyer for $149, The Disney Infinaty for $50. These were the items I was concerned about getting.

Now I have to find a deal on a 3ds game he would like.

Yay! Just got back from Target and managed to get the last Nintendo 3DS XL after missing the deal online.

My son will be a happy camper! :)

Glad to hear it, I know they still had them in our local store at 11am, and there were quite a few.

Glad you got it. For others looking for hard to find items, don't be afraid to ask an employee to check the back room. For 3 years in a row on Black Friday, the Target employees kept saying they didn't have anymore in the store, but they checked the back room and we were able to get that hard to find item. Maybe it's just the stores around me, but it's worth a shot. :)

No. I wanted a Verizon No Contract Samsung Galaxy phone at the 8 pm Wal Mart sale. I'm on crutches so I sent my husband. He got there around 7:30 and asked electronics where they would be. He was told produce. So he went to produce and waited for the unwrapping. There were none. The employees guarding that stash said Oh they got sent to electronics. He went to electronics and they did not have any except the ones on the shelf with the same brand and model....but they were not included. Oh well...We still have much to be thankful for. There's more to life than a Thanksgiving sale.

Got the 1 hour guarantee card for the ipad mini. Was expecting it and should be here in 2 weeks.

Got all the movies I was after.

Priced matched the 3ds (they only had pink at Target last night) this afternoon at my local Walmart, who had a ton left. Target is 45 minutes away and Walmart is 20 so happy they price matched that for me.

I'm a happy girl today.

Got off work at 4pm and made it to WM a little after 5pm. It was pretty empty - we live in a smallish town so did not expect big crowds.

The only reason we went was for a 60" TV DH decided would be our gift to ourselves ;) It is humongous! I was debating about getting the iPad mini deal but decided on waiting for one of the newer Kindles - there was no line for the iPad mini wristbands.

Since we got the wristband for the TV but had to wait until 6PM to pay we walked around the store. Of course I started seeing things DD would like but was good and only got her the Play Doh Sweet Shop Cake and Ice Cream Confections set. DH got a CrockPot, and I got some hand lotion and batteries :rotfl:

We wanted to get DD a Thomas the Train set but they only had 2 of them and one lady had grabbed them even before they went on sale. All the toys were shrink wrapped together in groups until the employees cut them out for the sale. The woman just cut the shrink wrap and grabbed them :(

Other than that, I just placed an Old Navy order - nothing special since the sale is not very good - I got a better discount a few days ago with the 40% off code since all the stuff I wanted was excluded from the sale.

I am hoping Amazon does a CyberMonday deal on the Kindles or I will be not be happy to have passed up the WM deal (I did see Apple has them for $299 with a $50 GC if anyone is looking for them).

My update:

Didn't get a laptop. I waited until 11 pm for a dell deal, spent 20 minutes trying to get it in my cart, and when I did it was full price. They then changed the sale time from 11 pm to 12:30 am, and them again changed it to 1 am. I was not going to wait up.

But I did get the iPads minis that I mentioned earlier, after only a half hour at Walmart, and the camera I wanted at target, which I was able to get online instead of going at 8 pm.

Then... I went to target today with my coupons. I got $35 in toys for $9.50, bought groceries and birthday presents, spent the $75 and got my 20% off for later. Very satisfactory. :)

I was very surprised when I went to Target late this morning to get groceries that they still had the IPad minis left. I used my redcard and pharmacy rewards on it too. Since I had to buy the ipad at the electronics counter, they gave me the $75 giftcard there.

I used the $75 on groceries so I'm very happy with how it went today.
