We were married above a bar. lol It's a bar/restaurant and they had two rooms upstairs that we used - one for the ceremony, the bigger one for the reception. I would have loved an outdoor one, though.

DH's first marriage - they were married in a Lutheran church, I believe.

Married at the church I grew up in by my (then) pastor. Reception immediately followed in the church's Fellowship Hall.

We were married at an "Inn". I called it "one stop shopping", having the wedding and reception in the same venue.

Crissup and I were married in a wedding chapel in Las Vegas on April 11, 2004. Very tasteful, well organized, and memorable.

We had an organist, photographer and videographer, beautifull flowers including a peach rose bouquet I had chosen, and not to be left out was our fondant iced wedding cake including a Mickey and Minnie cake topper! The minister did a lovely religious ceremony for us..

My second choice would have been the Disney Cruise...

I got married at the Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, OH. :flower3:

I loved it; it was beautiful even though it was raining cats and dogs outside. But if I'd had the choice, we would've eloped to Hawaii and gotten married under a waterfall or on a beach or something.

We were married outside in a gazebo. It was right off a canal so some guests came to the wedding by boat. It was a very beautiful September day :lovestruc

We aren't married yet but will be in October 2004!!!

We are getting married under the palm trees on the beach at Bluebeard's beach club in St. Thomas USVI with 10 of our family and close friends.....

:lovestruc

I can't wait!!!

We were married in a Roman Catholic church with a full mass. I'd do it the same way if I had to do it over. It was beautiful.

We were married outside in a gazebo. We had our reception in the Ballroom of the same place. Our outdoor pics are my favorite. Everything was green and the flowers on the gazebo were beautiful. My florist/mom's friend did a great job.

Married in a church, renewed outside looking at the Pacific! :D

I got married in the absolutely gorgeous () Excalibur Wedding Chapel called Canterbury's. Yes folks, for just $49.95, you too can have a classy Las Vegas wedding complete with costumes.

Ok, the wedding chapel really IS beautiful....but there's quite a bit more to this story.

We got married ( last summer ) in a courthouse. We wanted it quick and easy with no fuss. My family were all too far away to come. My Dad did insist on coming and he brought my godmother.

Turned out the courthouse was the most beautiful old building with so much style and grace. Who knew? Our appointment had been scheduled at noon, and I thought it would be something squeezed in during someone's lunch hour.

It was in a lovely huge courtroom, just like the ones in the movies. The judge performed the marriage with true appreciation for the solemnity of the occasion. It is a lovely memory. And I regret that I was unable to schedule it so that my kids could have attended.

We got married in a methodist church I had joined. We attended there until we had lived here (another suburb, across the river) for 6 years and I realized I wasn't moving back to my hometown, so I transferred to the methodist church here.
The sad thing is a couple of years later the church sanctuary had a fire, and they ended up tearing it down and rebuilding. So you can visit the church where my parents got married in 1954, or my in-laws in 1963, but we can't visit the church where we got married and where both DDs were baptized.:( (well you can visit the church, but it's totally different)

Married on the beach at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort!! It was perfect!!

We got married in the churck I grew up in with a full Nuptial Mass. The priest who married us was a family friend.

I got married at Disney's Wedding Pavilion last December, and it was such an amazing day. DH and I feel so blessed to have gotten married there! It was actually a somewhat difficult decision for us to not get married at our church back home, but we just had a religious ceremony at WDW instead. :bride: :groom:

Big Catholic church wedding. :)
