Did you get a letter from DCL too?? No more Animator's Palate???

We just got a letter from DCL saying that they are starting a new dinner rotation and it gave all the different times. It was something like 8pm, 815 and 830 for the late rotation.

My question is this: How does this effect the experience at Animator's Palate?? If you are put on the 830 time slot dont youmiss 30 minutes of the experience with the music and the paintings on the wall??? I have never been and that is the one of the main things I am looking forward to; seeing the music and the paintings in the restuarant transform throughout the night etc....

I'm sure it means a specific time for the entire restaurant. Maybe 8:00 for Triton's, 8:15 for AP and 8:30 for Parrot Cay. I can't see DCL disrupting a show at AP. They have the cruisers best interests at heart.

My guess are the times are rotation specific, so that everyone isn't trying to get to dinner at the same time, not restaurant specific, or person specific. So, even if you end up starting at 8:30PM, you'll still see the entire show at AP.

The starting times are the SAME in each restaurant, it's just that each of the three restaurants will have a different starting time. So if your time is 8:00 pm and your dinner rotation is Animator's that night, EVERYONE at that restaurant starts at 8:00. Parrot Cay may start at 8:15 and Triton's at 8:30. (That's just an example.) From what I've read, this is just an experiment...will see how long it lasts.

When is your cruise? I am going June 16th and have not received anything. Why are they doing this- anyone know? Is the early sitting changed too??

So let me get this straight: If I am designated to start at 8:30pm for my dinner rotation. Then I will have dinner at 8:30pm each night. And each restuarant will have a different start time to coordinate with the three rotation times?? I think I just confused myself.

I am going on June 26th and we got the letter a few days ago. I would think you should have gotten your letter by now. You may want to call them.

I haven't got mine yet (of course I haven't rec'd a confirmation of my excursion requests either). I've read about the "experiment" on here, but I don't understand how it'll work yet either.

I also have not received the confirmations for the excursion we reserved. We are hoping to receive all of the documents everybody keeps talking about soon.

When I booked my excursions, I was not sent a confirmation. When I called back to inquire, they said they would FAX or mail me a confirmation only if I requested it. I did and they faxed it over that day. So if you want a confirmation, call and request one.

Hello, We are on the 6/16 cruise also. We have late dining. I am worried about how we will fit Bingo in each night! We play each night with my youngest son because it is his Highlight on each cruise we have done. Bingo is from 7 30 to 8 30! We always had to rush as it was, to get to dinner by 8 30. Now it sounds impossible!

I am also on the June 16th WonderT I received a letter from Disney about a week ago on the change to my reservation. I booked my excursions over the phone a couple of weeks ago and never got a confirmation. However with their new web-site...once i log on I can see the excursions I booked! I was pretty excited!
