Well, I live near Austin, which is a ways away from Galveston, but I'm thinking Houston Hobby would be a good choice. Houston Intercontental would would work too, but its further away from Galveston.
The group of freinds I hung out with before I got married all called me Max, which was short for Maxwell, which was the guy on The Greatest American Hero.
I had several annoying ones that make no sense unless you know me. Fortunately, those have been consigned to the dustbins of nickname history now that I am in another country. I haven't even got a nickname over here (aside from carrot-top )
I am "occasionally" Deuce... I added the Papa..... and I used to be called Baby Bull... a small version of Greg Luzinski, who used to play for the Phillies.
I can see the tag fairy having a field day with this thread LOL.
I have had many nick names.
Cat - short for Cathy. Most people use is still.
Bummy- in high school. short for my last name.
Short stuff (I was - and still am- really short).
Sissy.
Well, I never let people shorten my first name to a nickname, so my friends in high school mutilated my last name and, well--I'm not telling. It was "dirty". So glad to be married and far away from those people!
When I lived in Jamaica, the locals called me "peaches." I thought it was because of my skin color. My DH thinks it had to do with another physical attribute!
Boo Boos (thankfully, it's not used anymore)
Pepa
Big G
Princess (from my mom)
Marita (by grandmother & now ALL my cousins call me that in Spain - ugh)
Mary Yo Yo (by my brother because my grandfather pronounced his j's like y's)
Pichurri - by my dormmates when I was in Madrid for a year - it's a little bird
Wow, I just started having all these weird childhood memories of my nicknames...Legs, Dimples, Myrn, MMStarr, Perky. I'm sure more will surface in time. My husband is Mork, and my kids are LuLu and Tootles.
