Did you ever have a nickname?

In college, I had 2 nicknames. I was known as The Professor (The Prof for short). The first college I attended had very low admission standards and the other residents in my dorm thought I used a lot of long, complicated words Apparantly any word with more than 2 syllables was long to many of them. I left that school after one semester for someplace more challenging.

I was also known as Uncle Donald. Our dorm was set up in suites. Each suite had 4 bedrooms (2 people each), a living room and a bathroom. I shared a bedroom with a guy named Luey. In another one of the bedrooms was a guy name Huey. Huey's roommate's name was Frank, but that didnt last long. We christened him "Duey" (poor guy never had a chance) and I became Uncle Donald (not a big change, since my name is Don). So we had Huey, Luey, Dewey and Uncle Donald all in the same suite.

Almost no one at Castleton called me by my real name. I was always either The Prof or Uncle Donald.

So, did you ever have a nickname?

I've been Kimmer since I was about four years old. :)

Yes, given to me by my grandparents as a baby. I will NEVER tell. :p

One guy used to call me "Double Duty Judy". :confused3 I have no idea what it meant. He even put it in the yearbook. Anybody know what it means?

I see you're in Texas. Can I ask you...if we needed to get to Galveston, what airport would be fly into?

Ummm, evidently they didn't take typos into account (see title of thread). ;)
I had nicknames, but if I tried to post them here, all you'd see is *****.

I have been called Rickster, Rickless, Rickytickytavi, Rickshaw, Ricky Retardo, and Biff. Yes, BIFF... all through college.

I said I used long words. I didn't say I could type them :rotfl2:

Most of my family and friends call me Lucy. My best friend is Ethel, and my DH is Ricky, and her DH is Fred. My father gave us those nicknames (minus her DH, who wasn't around at the time) many years ago and they just sort of stuck.

I get called Ally and Big Al sometimes. DH (Kory) gets called Kury (more like Kuuuureee) by my best friend's dad because he can't pronouce the O part (he's a bit southern ;) ).

Well, I live near Austin, which is a ways away from Galveston, but I'm thinking Houston Hobby would be a good choice. Houston Intercontental would would work too, but its further away from Galveston.

Ds9 read this and wanted to add Ricki Tiki Tambo. :)

The group of freinds I hung out with before I got married all called me Max, which was short for Maxwell, which was the guy on The Greatest American Hero.
