Did you ever do something you didn't mean to do

to hurt or make your spouse feel bad?

I was thinking about on my birthday some years back. I got up in a really crummy mood and decided not to go to work. DH asked me several times if I was going in or not. I said no, I don't feel like it (said with an edge to my voice).

Only to find out later he had arranged for the afternoon off, was going to come downtown, had made reservations at a great Italian restaurant (had called my co-workers to see where I liked to eat) and was going to take me there to celebrate.

Ya know, I feel guilty to this day.

yeah I was just thinking of this the other day.
When dh and I were dating he would never buy me flowers well he came to pick me up at the airport one day and has the most beautiful roses in his hand. I said ( a little too loudly) " Oh you finally found a florist!"



I have no idea what posessed me to say it and I felt like crud as soon as it came out of my mouth!

It's part of being married. I'm sure there's been a few times where he hurt your feelings and didn't mean to.

I flipped out on my DH over Memorial Day weekend. I really thought I was right while I was doing it, but the next day, I realized I was way out of line.

Usually, he's the one who's wrong and sorry, but last May it was me, and I felt just awful about it.

Yup, did it just recently and I still feel horrible about it.... I could kick myself over and over and over

Oh yes especially when we were first married. He wouldn't move his truck one morning and told me to move it myself (he was parked behind me. No problem - I went to a used car lot and sold his truck the same day!
