did you email Brooks Barnes re: WSJ article (and did he email you back?)

I was offended by the article Brooks Barnes wrote in the wall street journal and I emailed him and told him what I thought about "dowdy."

He emailed me back today -- I was shocked.

Here's what he said:

Dear Mrs.xxxxxxxxxxxxx,

Thank you for taking the time to write. I take reader feedback very seriously and will certainly take your viewpoint and criticisms into account the next time I write about this subject. I'm sorry this story didn't live up to your expectations of the WSJ.

Just one point: I know adhesive-backed ribbon isn't new. It was the "editorial director of crafts" at Martha Stewart Living who insists that it is, and the point is attributed to her in the article.

WOW! Just WOW! Thank you guys for bringing this to our attention. I would have missed this if it wasn't on the Dis, lol. Needless to say, Martha can shove it. I will not be spending one dime on her line. Not even if its on sale ( even 90% off!)
