I run a daycare and I have about 5 kids that get on the school bus in the morning. The bus stops in my driveway. Now I live in Minnesota and in a small town with a lot of rural roads. We have had a lot of school cancellations this winter. So I took my cell phone and walked back to the bedroom and called my home phone. One of the kids answers it. I come out of the room and start talking loud so they can hear me. "Are you kidding me." Why would they do that" Okay, Whatever." Hey kids they just canceled school for today. I have know idea why, but you have the day off. One 7 year old, said " I knew it was the girl from the office!" I let them get excited for about 10 minutes, and then told them April Fools. They did not think it was as funny as I did!:dance3:

I often bake stuff for DH to take into work. Well as a matter of conflict most of my tupperware or rubbermaid have my first name on it. I use my first name because if I use my last name and go to a family function no one will know whose is whose.

So one day someone in my husband office said who is this "Shelly" person who baked this cake I want the receipe. My husband pipes up and said it my wife. My husband is a quiet person and at the time being the new guy he never talked about his family. The boss said to him she is his fake wife you don't have a wife So then when I would attend company functions such as picnics and such I was called the fake wife.

My husband had been with his company for awhile now so I thought it was safe to play a joke and what better time then April Fools day.

I used a disposable aluminum cake pan, styrofoam block cut to fit inside the cake pan, two jars of frosting.
I frosted the styrofoam block and it looked so real. I sent it into the office. My DH went in a placed it on the table where their snack food go which happens to be just outside of his cubical.

Well after lunch one of the guys said hey lets cut into the cake. As he begins to cut he is finding it a bit hard and says, "this cake is crunchy". Soon he realizes he has be had.

We cubicle pranked a co-worker. Gift wrapped the doorway, bubble wrapped his stuff (monitor, mouse, coffee mug, phone, keyboard, etc) and filled his cube with balloons. Came out perfect and he was a great sport!

Heck yeah, I had the entire night shift staff on my unit at the hospital all call in sick at 5 minute intervals about 45 minutes before the shift started then I popped around the corner and told the manager April fools as she was wondering what the heck to do to take care of all our patients that night.

Last year I played a prank on the people in my department. I put small post it notes on the underside of each person's computer mouse, blocking the little laser light. I wrote April Fool's on the notes. A couple of people rebooted their computers. lol

I never did say it was me, and also complained that my mouse didn't work, but for days afterwards I would find post-it notes under my mouse. lol

This year, I didn't have work, but I went on a retreat. We told the teens on the bus that the food at the camp had meat in it (Christian camp/we're Catholic - no meat on Friday's during Lent), so we couldn't eat it. We asked the kids who had snacks to bring it to camp and we would have to share whatever they brought, but no worries, there would be a good breakfast. They believed us & brought their snacks to the dining room, where there was pizza, pasta, salads, etc. for us. lol The kids still thought we were serious.

Shortly after leaving, just as we got on the freeway, one of the counselors (she's 23) got a text from a teen telling her he was in the bathroom, and please wait for him. She was sitting next to me, and the look on her face was priceless. He was sitting in the back of the bus, and she had completely forgotten that we had done a roll call before leaving.

Another counselor had got a picture of a flat tire on a bus & sent a text message with the picture to the youth minister, who was up at camp, telling him we were going to be late. The youth minister called him to find out what happened. LOL

No, I didn't pull one this year...oddly enough, others did, and I didn't fall for any of them. lol

My son had one pulled on him at school.

Two of his friends took his bookbag, pulled everything out of it, turned it inside out, put everything back in and zipped it up.
He went to grab it when the time came to change classes and it took a minute for him to figure out why the handles weren't there. LOL

I thought it was funny that his friends did it so quietly that he didn't notice it.

:rolleyes1 My DS10 did an April Fools trick on me. He got red food coloring and put it all around his nose and dripping near his mouth. He has nose bleeds. So, I though it was real. I will give him credit, it looked gross and real. However, when we tried to wash it off, it left "pinkish" smudges on his skin. In the end, I guess the joke was on him because he went to school with pink marks on his face. LOL You can still see faint traces of it on his face today!!! I told him "for next time", just use ketchup! :rotfl:
