Did you buy Sketchers Shape ups? They owe you $!

Thanks...got mine submitted. Who knows how much we'll end up getting. The amount lowers with the more people who file a claim. I think it was at $40 for Shape ups and $27 for Toners when I submitted mine.

I love my Skechers! I've bought many pairs, hope I can find some receipts.

OP thanks for the info.

If you love them, why would you ask for this refund?

I'm just asking. :confused3

Do you need the receipts? I might have them but gotta dig through things. I have 2 pairs and they hurt my back really bad. One pair is still in the box.

I bought shape-ups but not because of their claims to help you lose weight. These are the only shoes I can wear comfortably. I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and any other shoe is just agony to walk-in. I have 5 pairs.

Same here. It's the only sneaker I wear these days. I did have the original ones that they came out with and then as they developed others, I've bought those, which look more like regular sneakers. I also have some Tone Ups too. They have been amazing for my plantar fascitis and the pain I had in my knees for ages is gone now too.

my thoughts exactly.

However, there are people who will do anything for a buck (not saying anyone on this board..just people). I have a friend who tries to get sumthin for nuthin everwhere we go. I really don't like that.

CathrynRose, totally off topic but the pink halter top you are wearing in your sig line is sooooo cute! Exactly like what I've been looking for. May I ask where you got it?

I have 8 pairs of tone-ups... and I am happy with them. They may not tone, but they are the only shoes I can wear long term without pain in my feet. I have the clogs for work and several pair of flops. No need for a refund--I'm going to keep buying them.

LOL. I had to giggle at this because I remember when they first came out and some one mentioned on the dis that those type of shoes were all hype. Boy the flames that the poster got!!

Now it seems that the claims where just that. all hype. Now I know no one here brought them to shape up their legs and backside but skechers (and one other shoe manufacturer) specifically marketed those shoes on that claim and sold millions of them, not for medical reasons but because of their "supposedly" toning capabilities. I mean the commercials I saw that had Kim K in them did not make 1 mention of platar fasciticis, but they sure did show her backside non stop. LOL

Whether you like them or not is moot imo, they misled consumers and should have to issue refunds.

Because the company lied. The shoes do not shape up any thing and do not help ou to lose weight.

LOL. didn't we use to call people that would sell you some thing that didn't work or do what it promised "snake oil" salesmen? Use to sell you tonic in a bottle that would cure your baldness. Might of tasted great and you may have liked it but it certainly didn't grown hair. pretty much reminds me of the same thing.

I sent them pictures of my shoes. I don't keep my receipts past a year. I am not expecting much lol:lmao:

Actually these kind of shoes are the very worst think for plantar fasciitis... I have it too, and these thick-soled shoes actually make the problem worse. They may temporarily aleviate the pain, which is why many people think they're "good" for PF, but over time they weaken the structures in your foot even more. The best thing to do is wear thin, flat shoes (or even better, barefoot) for a little bit at a time to give your leg muscles and arch time to build up and develop. These shoes don't tone, and they really are worthless for anybody who cares about their feet.

They're horrible for your ankles too as being so high off the ground can make you more prone to "breaking over".

Thin, flat shoes bother my knees and back even more than anything else. I could never wear anything like that.

I've been wearing shape-ups for 4 years now and have never had anymore plantar problems. I no longer where the ones with the extra thick sole, but have the Skechers Shape-Ups Radius now and I love them. So comfy!
