Did you buy into DVC thinking you would only stay in studios?

We still haven't decided what kind of DVC user to be when we grow up. So far we have stayed SSR 1bed (5 ppl), VGF 2 Bed (6ppl), Poly Studio (just me and the kids) (3 ppl), Aulani 2 bed (7ppl), are set to do VGF 2 bed (5 ppl) again in 2 weeks and Aulani 2 bed in December (7 ppl) . In February we are splitting a 1 bed at VGC for 3 nights (4 ppl)and then a 2 bed for 7 when our friends join us (8ppl). In April we are doing 4 nights in a Poly Studio (4 ppl) followed by 6 nights in a 1bed at BCV. So, I really struggle with this still. We don't cook ever but I think I really need the laundry as I do a load everyday. And at Aulani, you have swimsuits and things. But we are really using our points like we never expected and Aulani & VGF 2 beds are very dear which requires some sacrifice somewhere if we want to keep going. Hence the split stay attempt. 4 nights at Poly/ MK side where I adore and low points and then do our wash when we get to DVC and do epcot side of things. Both have rad pools. I expect by the time we dial it out and get a formula, things will change and we'll have to start over : )

We have been staying in studios and been perfectly happy. . .then we were moved to a one bedroom last spring due to our studio being renovated. DH was rather disappointed in our studio this fall after having enjoyed all the space we had our previous vacation. So I have us booked at the Poly again for this spring. Larger, but not as large, not as many points as a one bedroom. If that doesn't suit him, we will save up a bit and buy some more points.

I'm fine with the studio, btw, but he is now spoiled.

Studio's all the way! Just myself and the hubby. We have used points for a two bedroom, when we had friends join us. In general, its typically just the man and I.

We only do studios. Just 2 of us though, but I can't justify the "cost"/point value for a 1 bedroom. We're looking at taking nieces and nephews next year- 5 of us total- and I'm still trying to convince myself that a 1 bedroom will be fine even though the kids are older. We bought into DVC with the idea of trying to save some money though (an idea I find comical now), so that influences how we use points.

No.

One bedroom all the way... And it's just the two of us. We like being spoiled. And having a place to sit that isn't the bedroom.
