Did we pay too much?

DH and I booked a Disney Dream Maker via WDTC...
POFQ, 10/1-10/8 (7 Nights), Int. Rental Car @ Alamo, Flight from B'ham: $2781

Did we pay too much? We went ahead and booked in April... should we have waited?

I just went through, and booking your own components seperately, here's what I come up with:

Airfare from Birmingham: $197.20 p/p ($394.40)
Intermediate Car from Dollar: $185.90
7 day PHP from Ticketmania: $330 p/p ($660.00)
Moderate for 7 nights with AAA discount: $960

Total: ~$2200

That's about a $580 savings. Like I said though, that price quote assumes that you have AAA. Without, add about $200 onto your quote, so your savings would still be about $380.

Sometimes though, it's just easier to book the package to have everything done all at once.

I wouldn't say you booked too early. I booked my September honeymoon in August of 2003!

Thanks-- I figured we did pay a little more by getting the package and not booking separately. You are right though, it is less hassle and makes me feel better just having it all taken care of! The price we pay for convenience...
