Did we lose our guide? - nevermind

I got an email yesterday and it said the normal - your vacation club guide is... and then had a 2 digit number instead of Roland Lammers name.

We have never heard from him since we bought in back in 2001 - but I would have at least thought we would have heard if he left. Does anyone know if that means he is gone now - or what?

update - no sooner did I post this and I get an updated version of the email and this time it DID state Roland Lammers name. Kinda freaky...... like someone really IS watching.

I just got my "correction" notice too! Funny thing is, I didn't even notice the mistake until they sent the correction e-mail. I really should pay closer attention!!!!

Hey Pat.

LOL we didn't stay there. We planned on it - but then we started to feel really sad about not being at VWL. You know how we love that place.

Stayed there this past June for 11 nights - had an amazing time.

We are going to try and get AKV for this coming June - but if we can't then we are going to try for OKW.

I think the most we are going to be able to handle NOT staying at VWL is to go every other year. We really do want to try other resorts (well we did BCV and it was just not for us) - but man it is hard to resist the call of the wilderness.

They must be having some issues, b/c my DVC Member Cruise e-mail had a 3 digit number for our guide's name and then today I got an e-mail correcting it and it had our guide's name. Weird.

I've seen several threads mentioning Guides...but I don't remember ever being contacted with a Guide's name or number. Should I contact DVC?

go sign up for the email - your guide name will appear on it.

you will love AKV - stayed there for 5 nights in a standard view studio and I loved it.

It will definitely remind you of VWL. but in some ways a little better - nicer stuff and that flat screen TV is BIG. Hope DVC puts them in everyplace.

Roland is our guide too. We got the correction message as well. Wonder if they just mixed up a few guides.

nooo we go every year - just trying to only go back to VWL every other year. I don't have that much will power.
