DH and I drove from Chicago to WDW in two days. We arrived on 2/13 at 10:00 am, we checked in with the concierge staff, and were off to disney quest. My DH loves the pinball games. We went to Ohana for dinner. We were going to watch the fireworks from there, but the times changed from when we left to FL to our arrival, so we went to WL to sit by the hot tub.
DH and I spent more time this trip in the WL pool and hot tub than on previous trips, but we were on vaction. after lunch, we were off to MGM to spend the eveing, and then to Fultons for a valentines day dinner. The food was FAB!!!
on 2/15 we were again off to MGM, we love that place, took the backlot tour, and the Tower of Terror (for the 12th time this trip) and walking around, meeting all the characters taking tons of picutres. We love the new photo pass... its too bad the pics will only be there for 60 days. we had dinner at the yachtsman steakhouse.... DH loves the meat here. It is also a good place to see the tops of illuminations.
on 2/16 we went to AK in the am, went back to the resort for more Swimming (you'd think I was an athlete with all the swimming we did) and then off to EPCOT for dinner and the "show" illuniations. We laughed at the Monorail ride back to TTC because our son thinks that the monorail is a ride.
2/17 we were at MK ALL DAY we ate at the liberty tree and at crystal palace. we stopped at all the all favorites and then to stiches great escape. OUr only issue with MK was all the green walls!!! however the towers are starting to look GREAT with the gold ribbons and decorations that are starting to appear for the "celebration". We utilized the AAA stations alot this trip, it was hot, and we were tired from all of our journeys around the kingdom.
2/18 We went resort hoping, took the monorail around, then drove to a few places (scoping out future vacations) and shopping at the resort stores
2/19 we asked for the ketchup one more time at the Whispering Canyon then we hit the road for a short day trip to cocoa beach (RONJONS) then to the kennedy space center, before heading home to COLD COLD CHICAGO.
Over all, we had a blast, the Concierge was fab, and always made sure DH had hot coffee. They even filled our themos up the morning we left.
