Did we even leave Canada? I swear it’s snowing Dec 2010 TR *PTR link pg. 24*FINISHED*

ok everyone I am trying to choose my resort for our Sept trip but I am stuck on 3 so help me out.

1. Poly
2. Wilderness Lodge
3. Beach Club

1. Poly - Muc of the appeal is outdoors, so as long as it isn't cold it's a nice place.
2. Wilderness Lodge - Never been there, but it looks like a great place
3. Beach Club - Never been there, but it looks like a great place

Loving the TR so far! Glen comes home Thursday after three weeks in San Diego so I will have an extra set of hands around the house and will finally be able to start my TR. Can't wait to read more.

my vote is Poly, but it is a selfish one since i want to stay there. We stayed at WL for the first time last December and loved it. Convenient boat ride to MK (and fun!), loved walking into that huge lobby everyday too. We enjoyed the food court and the pool is amazing. We managed to swim twice. So WL is great too, so go with what the kids want and save the others for next trip?

Love your most recent update- you guys got so much done. amazing pics of the fireworks too.

Sorry Ohana was a bummer for you. our service was terrible as well, but we just love the food there, so will be back again and again. it gets such mixed reviews, especially lately.

Wow you got so much done at MK! :thumbsup2

I love the Gingerbread house at GF, so pretty!

Sorry the service at Ohana wasn't that great, we actually had really good service when we were there! Some of the food is SO good, and other stuff is really gross...I want to go back just for the bread pudding though!

Oh, and I don't know what to tell you about your 3 resort choices! I'd LOVE to stay at the Poly someday, but it's just too expensive. :( Beach Club is beautiful, I stayed there in May on my Disneymoon and loved it, the pool is so much fun, and you can't beat walking to Epcot! If you spend a lot of time at Epcot, I'd go with BC! However, WL is amazing too, I stayed there in November 09 and I loved every single thing about it, the rooms, the restaurants, the pool, everything!! :lovestruc I love that you are in the MK area, but it's cheaper than the monorail resorts, having the boat to take to MK is so much fun!

I don't think you will be disappointed with any of them! :thumbsup2

I think all three of your resort choices are great options! That's probably why you're having a hard time choosing. If I had to rank them, I'd say:

1.) Beach Club - Great theming, nice pool, and really easy access to Epcot and DHS.
2.) Wilderness Lodge - Beautiful, and easy access to MK via the boat, slight edge over the monorail since I've read about so many issues/delays with it lately.
3.) Poly - Great theming, wonderful TS options, and monorail access to MK and Epcot.

I'm excited because we just got an Ohana dinner ADR. We were lucky on our last trip and got good food and good service. I hope we find the same when we go back, but I'll be happy as long as the bread pudding is still good. We're going for breakfast too because we really enjoyed that one.

I just thought of the fact that the CS option at Poly has a Dole Whip machine. That makes it pretty close, but I think I'd stick with my rankings.

I think you should decide where to stay based on if you want to have easy access to MK or Epcot. I stayed at YC once and the proximity to Epcot was AMAZING...not to mention that it felt like we had our own private entrance. Add in the pool..and BC would probably be my first choice. But, like I said...where to you want to have access to? Poly would have the best to MK since it is on the monorail...but WL is right across the way too.

I've always wanted to stay at Wilderness.

I'm leaning towards WL with Deluxe dining!

Big help Mike :sad2:

Hey I can't wait to read it. I bet it will be nice to have him back

It is so hard to choose cause they all offer so much

The bread pudding was amazing... best part of the meal

we spend most time at MK but if we do deluxe dining we will go to Ft Wilderness too so that may make WL a better option for this trip.

This will be the last trip Eryka is a kid on the dining plan so that is why I am considering deluxe dining. The girls also love the bunks at WL

You don't think that will be too much food? The cost is only justified if you're eating 3 table service meals a day, even though you can do any combination of CS/TS. After a few snacks and one sit down meal at Le Cellier, I felt so nauseous, I couldn't see myself eating like that all the time.

It is a lot of food but I was thinking of doing all the 2 TS credit places like CRT, Hoop Dee Doo, spirit of Aloha and Mickeys backyard BBQ. The we will have tried all the really cool stuff

That might help, but you know they have the people on the dining plan sit in the lower category seating unless it's a late dinner (9:30) so you might want to think about that. Although I think MBYBBQ is first come first served.

My vote is WL too. I have always wanted to stay there. I think it looks so beautiful.

I would probably go with WL myself. Of course, I've already stayed at the Poly. The lobby reminds me of the lobby at AKL, and hanging out in the lobby was one of my favorite things at AKL. It beats the lobby at the Poly.

Hey everyone, I am going to go try to get the next update done and posted today.

I am very sad today, I made plans to take out a friend last night. Sha had a baby 10 weeks ago and she has been sad lately cause her fiance goes out and does stuff but she can't even run to the store without the baby. Her birthday is next week so we made plans to go to Niagara Falls. She wanted to check out the outlet stores and then we were going to go to Yuk Yuks for some much needed laughs. Well we were sitting waiting for the show to start when her fiance texts her that she has to come home because he can't calm the baby and she has been crying for 2 hours.

From the moment we left her house her teenagers were being asses and texting her and her finace was constantly texting her. Maybe if he had put down the phone the baby would have stopped crying. It makes me sad that she does everything for them and they couldn't even let her have one night out.

Now of course I don't really wanna make plans with her again either for fear that the same thing will happen. I feel bad for her:sad1:

Tuesday December 14

Park: Epcot & MVMCP

Reservations: Akershus & 1900 Park Fare

This was originally another full Epcot day but when my brother bought me MVMCP tickets this became Epcot/MVMCP day.

I wanted to make rope drop but that didn’t seem to be the way my plans were working out this trip.

We got there shortly after it opened and the first thing the girls wanted to do was make their own video games so we went to Innoventions West and while they were playing I ran over to grab FP’s for Soarin

When I got back we went into Mousegears since I had the 20% off before noon coupon and we bought some stuff. I decided on Mousegears because I had to get presents for all my Best Friends kids and since there are 7 all different ages I figured Mousegears would cover it. While we were in line I realized it was 10 min till our breakfast reservation so we paid and then made the mad dash to Akershus to see the princesses

Ariel was the reason we were here, Em LOVES her!!!

While we were having breakfast my firend Tracy sent me a message. I had been sending pics of really cute baby outfits since she just had a girl and she finally text me back the ones she wanted and I had only seen them at Mousegears. It was quickly approaching noon and my coupon would be no good so I left mom the tip money and ran back to buy the outfits

I finally made my way back after standing in the longest line ever at the cash. We decided since we were in Norway and there was only a 5 min wait we would ride Maelstrom. Well little miss scaredy cat was scared so I asked the girl at the entrance if the ride was scary at all and she said no so I told Emma she had to go on it (BIG mistake) Let me tell you things that we normally wouldn’t find scary Emma does. So on this ride she was terrified. She spent the whole ride with her face buried in my chest. Needless to say I will never make her go on it again

Since Em was so freaked out I decided to skip the Mexico boat this trip and move it to next year :confused3

I ran over to Canada and grabbed my son his hat for the year (I get him one every year)

We made our way over to the Land. Mom took Emma over to ride Nemo again while Eryka and I went on Soarin twice!!!

Mom and Em met us by Soarin and we went on the Living With the Land boat ride. I have never been on this ride before and I thought it was very cute and we loved seeing how they grow the food. Maybe next year I will do the tour
