We stayed at Pop Century from Dec 9th – 17th

I will start by introducing the cast of characters:


ME!!!!!!! Natalie, single mom of 3 children. Just finished college and if I don’t find a job soon we won’t be going next year

**** Update I have a job and we WILL be going next year!!!! More on that to come*****

My mom Rita. She didn’t go with us last year so I kinda made her go this year and although I love her I WON”T make her go again

DD8 Eryka (she now spells it Erica :s) She is my drama queen and she proved it on this trip

DD6 Emma my little scaredy cat. She is afraid of the drop in Pirates of the Caribbean

Also making some guest appearances in this TR will be some other DISers!!!

Our trip kinda starts on Dec 8th.

We live in Canada and were flying out of Buffalo. I had been watching the weather very closely since Buffalo had been getting a lot of snow. On Tuesday night it didn’t look like there would be snow on Thursday but we made the decision that Wednesday after the kids go off school we would drive to my brother’s house in Niagara Falls and spend the night there so we would only have a short drive over the border in the morning.

Dec 9 – we get up at 6am (ok everyone else did, I was up at 3am) we had breakfast and coffee, got changed and reloaded the car. At 8am we were off!
I was a little scared because I have never driven in the U.S. before and crossing the border is always scary

The agent at the border was super nice. We showed her our passports and my custody papers and all was good. She even asked if there is lots of stuff for little ones to do at WDW because she wants to take her 4 year old. I think I convinced her to go!

The drive to the airport was uneventful. We found a parking spot and gathered our luggage (5 suitcases) hopped on the shuttle to the terminal. We got a breakfast sandwich and found a spot at our gate. The girls made friends with a little girl named Jordan and I talked to her dad till the plane boarded.

Our flight left Buffalo at 11:55am, had a stop in Ft. Lauderdale and then arrived in Orland around 4:30pm. On our stop we didn’t change planes so we were sitting there only about 15 people on the plane and the pilot asks Eryka if she wants to go check out the controls. Of course Emma gets upset so they take her too! Now I didn’t think kids were allowed in the cockpit anymore

We arrived and hopped on the ME bus

We arrived at Pop to a red carpet

Now on my PTR I said I wasn’t going to do online check-in, well I changed my mind. I did it for my room only and package. I had requested building 1 1st floor and I got it! Room 1162 (second last room facing the pool)

We got in our room grabbed our stuff and headed out. We got a bus to DHS and hopped a boat to the Beach Club.

We headed over to Beaches and Cream for some dinner

We made our way back to the room and hit the sack because we have a busy day coming up

So glad you didn't have any border crossing issues or weather issues for your flight! That would not have been a magical way to start a trip! Your luck seemed to have continued with the awesome room you got, yeah! The decorations at the BC were great weren't they?! We loved them and have lots of pics like yours. I'm pretty sure that is a No Way Jose, but not 100% sure...it looks quite yummy though! Can't wait to read more!

I was amazed too! They didn't even ask, the pilot came out and got Eryka. When we took off the pilot annoughed that there were some very special people on board, Eryka and Emma that are now trained pilots. I thought it was great!!!!

Just saw that you win! They ran out of the bowl they usually put it in so i got it in a banana split bowl. She assured me it was the same amount of stuff though.

I honestly thought it would be better, it was good but I was expecting better. Next year kitchen sink
