i was just wondering if anyone knew if WDW survived the hurricane and didnt get that much damage or if it even got any. if anyone knows anything reply back...thanks....hopefully nothing bad happened:wave:

That radar map tonite looked pretty intense!!! Hopefully someone knows!

Supposedly Celebration/Kissimee (spelling?) got hit pretty hard from what a person on another board said who lives in those areas. :(

Here is a little information. It was interesting to get updates on this thread from Charlie about Charley:Here

According to Magic in my Heart (who is always reliable and helpful), WDW is opening it's parks today! Surely that means everything is well. I don't think they would let guests in if there was alot of damage/problems.

From wdwmagic.com discussion board:

Updated. 4:38Am. Just returned from a ride out shift at Disney.

BIG DAMAGE at Cirq! The white canopy that covers the outside of the buildings entrance area is GONE! A good, 80-foot section of it, ripped right out in the winds. The area around there suffered MAJOR damage. House of Blues got hit pretty bad as well, tons of stuff all over the place.

PI. Minor issues, the Island will be open Saturday night. Though, it won't be in full swing for a couple more days.

Power outages all around 192. The power is on at Disney, and some spots on 192 have power. Others do not. Saw crews out on my drive home already working on it.

WDW is absolutely amazing at cleaning up after hurricanes..
we were in WDW in 1995 ( i think that was the year), when a hurricane hit Orlando....
it was totally amazing at how organized they were....
it was worth it to be in WDW during the hurricane just to see the precision clockwork organization of the place....

The parks seem to have survived quite well. There is a lot of trees down, signs are twisted and bent.

Areas around the parks were hit hard. Our house was damaged and we don't expect to have power for 3-7 days.

No power for 3 to 7 days? Yikes!

Take care everyone down there!
