If so, what was it like? My DH & I are pondering 5 nights there in October and it will 'cost' approx. 400 points for the five nights at GF. Is it worth it?

Pls describe for me the accomodations you receive for the points.

Much appreciated!!!!

Just a reminder that in addition to the point charge you will also pay a $95 booking fee. Haven't stayed there, myself!

We stayed at GF on points for 2 nights a few Christmases ago. We stayed a few nights at OKW first and then moved for the last two. We had two connecting rooms in an outer building w/ balconies overlooking the water to the Polynesian Resort. The rooms were typical of Disney's Deluxe Resorts - nice size, clean, the expected amenities, decorated in the theme of the resort. I wouldn't do it again. You just don't get much bang for your points. I love the GF; we take a walk through there each visit we make to WDW. We almost always eat at one of the restaurants. The pools are lovely. The location is wonderful. We were treated nicely by the CMs. There was a little too much "Alice in Wonderland" decor in the Victorian-themed rooms for me. But my biggest reason for not doing it again is the number of points it costs. If you have no problem using your points in that way, go for it. You'll enjoy yourself.

400 points at $11.00 a point equals $4,400. You can stay at the GF for a lot less than $880 a night. Rent out points to get the cash for a GF reservation. That's what we did.

Also, remember, except for restricted high occupancy periods, GF is a resort to which you can pool hop.
