Did they ever implement a new transportation system around WDW?

I heard in the past that they were going to put in these new kiosks at all the bus stops so that you may summon a bus upon arrival at the stop. This was to guarantee a short wait for a bus to any of the parks and back.

Does anybody know if they ever did this? If so, how is it working out? I've love some feedback on this.

They were woking on an "on demad" system, but I think gave up for a variety of reasons.
