I remember me and my DD11 going on the teacups during the 15th anniversary and both saying how "everything has gone blurry!!" So, I know that they were definitely spinning VERY fast then!
The big question is : are they really harder to spin because they need maintenance, or are we getting too old to muster enough force to spin them as fast as before ?
Actually I never noticed any difference. Of course some tea cups will need more muscle power to get them moving, but I recently saw some teenagers spin one like crazy, so I don't think there is an issue here.

It's the cumulative effect of little things like this, that never seem to get sorted properly (e.g., the swinging pirate or the fire breathing 'dragon' on Tram Tours), that dilute the magic a little for me.
I always think about mentioning things in City Hall, but not being a big complainer generally, I never get round to it....I wonder whether they do get many complaints about this sort of thing?
