For anyone who is on the Magic right now, my DD11 keeps asking me if Santa Claus II was shown on board today. We leave tomorrow, so she's hoping!

:D

It probably did. We saw the premiere of Snow Dogs on the 3-day Wonder. They premiered it after the regular shows like around 11 PM. We were exhausted, but how many times are you on a cruise that they premiere a movie the same day they open on land.

Way to go Disney. Lots of fun!

When we cruised (3-day) "Recess, the movie" premiered and was a scheduled kids club activity during the day. Of course, this was Nassau day, and we did not get off the ship! Santa ClausII will probably be running! Have a great time!

Hi,

Good question...I hope so! Have a great cruise and let us know if it was playing and how it was when you get back!

BON VOYAGE!

Most likely...it premiered on the Wonder. It would have been Nassau day.

As for the Magic ... it may have ... but traditionally, it is Castaway Cay day and then the Farewell Variety Shows at night. So, it would premiere on the next voyage.

For Monsters, Inc. last year they had it on Friday and didn't have the main stage show that evening.

Treasure Planet opens on a Wednesday - so it is very likely that will premiere on the Magic! and the Wonder! (though the Wonder may be at Sea or Freeport depending on its rotation that week). They may move Disney Dreams to Tuesday night or possibly skip the Premiere in favor of still having Disney Dreams on the last night of the cruise.

We're getting Treasure Planet as a premiere on our Nov 30th Magic! Just another 27 days till our cruise vacation begins!

How do you find this out in advance?

I doubt it premiered today. The "Farewell Variety Show" is the event scheduled for the Walt Disney Theatre. They wouldn't want to throw the movie into the Buena Vista Theatre without first having a giant Prem-Ear in the Walt Disney Theatre. Besides, I don't think they would've gotten the film shipped to the port by last Saturday. My guess is it will be on the 11/2 cruise, but it won't be shown until they have a giant Prem-Ear on Tuesday, the night they don't have anything else scheduled in the Walt Disney Theatre.

I was really hoping that they would premier it but NO....
The PremEAR they did was for Tuck Everlasting. My 9 year old went.

Heading to Port Canaveral now :-(

We just got off of the Magic this morning and no, the premier of Santa Clause 2 was not showing. I would imagine it will be showing on the ship tonight.
