Did I really see that??

We've been enjoying the holiday, as it should be observed with cold beer, grilled meats and in the comfort of central air conditioning.

We did walk over to the park for a little bit and I saw the most beautiful head of light red/golden curly hair on a man, cut into a very long mullet. That 'do was a thing of beauty...

We also saw...a guy rinding his cooler. He took off all around the neighborhood on it. Looked a little like the pic, except he was wearing a red white and blue Uncle Sam style paper hat.

A week or two ago at work, a guy came in to apply for a job. He had a very long mullet. . Mullet and aqua colored jacket with "local motion" across the shoulders. The guy looked like he stepped straight out of 1987. It was hard not to giggle.

The cooler is a great idea. One I wish I would have thought of.

Oh..I was really not expecting to see that.

On one hand, I could see the need for it. Hill to big to drag the cooler up or down for the day? Motorize it! Sick of hauling that beer and bait? Ride it!

It makes sense but at the same time, it is so supremely absurd. American innovention at its best, Edison be damned.

I have to say I was shocked at the number of mullet sightings at the zoo on Sunday. At least 5 little boys too with MAJOR mullets. Eeek.
