So I was stalking ressies at dawn today when an O'hana booking popped up. I literally haven't seen a single one previously after months of chasing ADRs. My family (DH, DD8, DD6) ate there during our first trip back in 2012. I had a nice time, but it was late and the girls were tired, but still managed to enjoy it. I recall getting a drink called the Backscratcher(?) which was nice after a long park day.

For our trip this year I haven't managed to get any princess dining except 1900 PF. When I saw O'hana I was so excited, I cxled our only princess meal. When I told DH, he was like why'd you do that? O'hana wasn't that great:worried:

We're staying at the Poly. My DD8 is over princesses, but my DD6 loves them! Did I fall victim the great ADR chase, or was this a good move?

It all depends on what you're looking for, but for us, it would be a good move. We like Ohana, but 1900 PF not so much. We loved the step sisters as they were hilarious, but we didn't like the food. We've tried it a couple of times over the years, but after our last visit a few years ago, we won't be returning.

I don't think you messed up, I think Ohana is a great choice, we prefer the food at Ohana compared to 1900 Park Fare. We also like the atmosphere of the restaurant more--it feels like a party. If your daughters will get up and play in the coconut races then they'll really enjoy it. My kids enjoyed the food, but chose to watch rather than participate in the races.

We enjoyed the characters at 1900 Park Fare, but not because of Cinderella or Prince Charming--it's the stepsisters & stepmother who made it fun. The restaurant is in a boring, kind of crowded room, though, and the food is just okay--fairly standard Disney buffet foods.
