I booked the sleigh ride from the Wilderness Lodge for my DH and me on December 11th.

Should I have booked the carriage ride at Ft Wilderness instead?

I want something that will be a pleasant and beautiful ride. Where does the sleigh go on the Wilderness Lodge ride?

Please let me know if you have been on either of these and your thoughts.

Thanks.

Let me know if you cancel - I tried to book one on the 12th and they were all booked. I've never been on one so I can't say exactly what they do or where they go but I am staying at the WL so I thought I'd give it a try.
Thanks

But I believe it is a sleigh ride between the WL and FW. It is Not lighted along the way. I can't elaborate on the experience however.

We've taken the carriage ride at Fort WIlderness. It was nice. Lots of christmas lights and decorations at the campsites. It was hard to find the pickup area and none of the CM's working at Fort Wildernes could direct us to exactly where the pickup area was :confused3 . Once we found the pickup area the ride was enjoyable. Haven't taken the WL sleigh ride, but I've read most of it is in the dark. I think either would be enjoyable really. Have fun!

oh, man! I thought it was first come, first served. Does this mean I"ve blown our chance already? We are going 2nd week of dec.

My family, DH, DD12, DD9 and I did this a few days before Christmas last year. I was so excited. I kept it a surprise until we walked out the front door of Wilderness Lodge and saw the horse and sleigh coming up the entrance. The family knew there was a surprise, but they didn't know what it was. Well, when they found out they were not as excited as I was. It was okay. If I remember correctly, we took a path across the street and down a sidewalk past the parking area of WL. All we saw were trees. We went down the path about 10 minutes or so then turned around and came back on the same path. I was a little disappointed, but glad that we did it.
