did I make a mistake??.... goofy's kitchen dinner

We had Breakfast with the kids and Dinner without the kids. Breakfast was much more interesting for us because we were with the kids. The dinner was fun too. Although we didn't see as many characters during dinner, it was still great to see the ones who were there. We got lots of photo opts and had fun. You can take or leave the food, it's more for the kids, but it's worth it just to be part of the Disney Magic. We are going again without the kids for breakfast. To us, It's not what you pay, it's what you take from it. If you don't enjoy every moment, then the magic will pass you by. Our Family Picture is from Goofy's Kitchen, we got lucky to have Goofy, Pluto, and Aladdin at the same time.

Hiya All .. I'm still debating between breakfast and dinner for a family of 5 who've never tried a character breakfast (let alone DW or youngest DS ever been to DL) What's the general preference/opine - please and thanks

One of the times I called Disney Dining, the CM mentioned that the two most popular (and therefore more solidly booked) character meals were Goofy's Kitchen and Ariel's Grotto. Since Ariel's is only princesses and very geared toward little girls (though I did just go with my DS3 ), I'd suggest dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. We've gone 2 times, and had a wonderful time on both occasions.

Every character meal has a few people who had a bad experience, unfortunately. But most people rave a lot about Goofy's Kitchen.

We will be at Disney on Father's Day would this be a fun thing to do? Any other suggestions?

We have had nothing but BAD experiences at Goofy's. Every time we say we won't be returning and we always do thinking it will be better and worth the $100 we spend. But it's not. We will not be going back there EVER again. We have always thought the food was of poor quality and I think we got to interact with about 3 characters last time and we didn't even know who one of them was Our service was also very poor last time we were there.

We much prefer Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn.
