I agree, kudos for giving a punishment, and even bigger kudos for following through!!! That seems to be such an issue nowadays. I am similar to a PP, I am sure I am the meanest mom around!! And guess what, I don't care!!! They can thank me later!!

I also agree with another PP, I would not foster their relationship. As a matter of fact, I am not sure I'd let him play with her anymore at all!

FWIW, I think you did the right thing. they don't learn if we don't stick to what we say! Could be why the little girl is always into something.

Thanks for everyones support. We've been sticking to it. Its gonna be hard to not let DS play with the girl at all though. She lives right next door and has a little brother and sister and all the kids on the street kinda play together. Dont have to worry about it much yet though since the punishment is still on. He definitly wont be doing anything with the girl unsupervised though.

And it hits home to DS every time someone comes to see if he can play and he can't.
