My mom does not agree I did the right thing I got a fever from the booster it lasted less then 24 hrs but my dentist makes us do a question error have you had a fever in the last three weeks I was honest my mom thinks I should have lied because the fever was not from covid 19

I don’t think it’s an issue of lying or not. I think you could’ve said “Only once, after the Covid booster” and leave it at that. The questionnaires are trying to look at who might be contagious as a result of illness. A little explanation can go a long way.

I would have said "yes, immediately following recieving the covid booster" then you are being honest but also clarifying the reason for the fever.

they did not ask the reason behind it I am waiting impatiently for them to call back so I can explain the reason behind it

The only thing I would have done differently was postpone the booster till after my dentist appointment

Unfortunately multiple choice no room for explanation

I think this was the thing to do but I appreciate you were honest!!

I would have actually called before taking the questionnaire and asked for their guidance on filling it out so a system wouldn't auto-remove you or cancel you. Then, they'd know immediately if they'd take you or want you to delay the appointment, and you'd get it all done at once...

I lied when I went to the doctor 2 weeks post second covid shot.
I was fully vaccinated and knew the fever was a direct result of the shot.
But people have to do what they feel is right for them.

I like this solution for the future

my feelings and I can be wrong is that there is enough dishonest people in the world let’s add to the honest pile

You did the right thing.

They should have a system set up to handle this. We’re almost two years into this. Early on I was given surveys by my dentist, dermatologist, etc that asked if I had been tested for Covid in the past x number of days. Well, at the time I was getting tested regularly for work, regardless of exposure. Thankfully they were all pretty understanding of it and didn’t cancel my appointments.

Yes, you did the right thing since this is something new to you. But I lie about two of the symptoms because they are side effects of two prescription drugs I have taken for over a decade.
