We are looking at a quick 4 night trip in march. We have rented DVC three times before and loved it (last trip split with shades of green). We were thinking of renting again since it is peak season but for some reason (can't put my finger on why) I wanted to try a moderate. So I calculated 56 points for March 19th through 23 (mon-fri 4 nights) and compared them to the march 2007 rates for a moderate. It comes out if I pay 10$ (what I'm hoping for) even up to 12$ per point it's still a couple hundred dollars less than a moderate. Am I adding this right?

yes you are corect.

but BWV and BCV generally rent for more than $10 or even $12 - they are in greater demand.

for VWL that should work

for OKW it will be 44 points

for SSR it will be 52 points

You are correct...which is what makes DVC so appealing to people..you get a deluxe resort for less than moderate pricing. DVC will continue to be a good deal until WDW starts offering 50-60% off discounts...don't hold you breath !!!
