Did DU get you a discount today?

My DH talked me into going with DU for our trip next year. I've seen some threads where DU couldn't manage to get an AP rate. How did they do for you? Should I cancel with them, and book it myself? Thanks for the feedback.

Sue Ellen really came through for us and got us those AP rates! I don't think I could have done it without her! We will be booking our 2005 trip with her day! Not to mention all the time it saved me from being on the phone and on hold!

Yep,
Kelsie got the AP rates for me at the POFQ, $88.00 per night including tax.
I think that it is not only DU that can not get the rates, with the e-mails and post cards that Disney has sent out there are a limited amount of rooms for the AP rates and I am sure that they are holding rooms for the codes for the general public.
So if a person's agent can not get them the rate, most likely they could not get it applied themselves.

Not for us DU did not come through. We didn't even get a reply until noon time telling us that she couldnt get POFQ for us that we would have to change resorts. We tried to get in contact first thing this morning but was told that since we were going 11/27-12-6 ap were not avaiable and if we wanted to make changes to get them we would have to wait until our agent got back to us and if they were gone by then oh well. I am now so glad I spent 30 minutes on hold got my 7 nights at POFQ for 7 days and my last two days 134 AKL. We have booked two trips in the past with DU and now are unsure if we will again

Yup my DU agent got me an AP rate today Just make sure they know you're an AP holder, otherwise they won't know that it applies to you. The hardest part is waiting for the e-mail from your agent telling you that you got the rate.

Our DU agent was well aware that we were ap holders but was still unable to get us a discount. We are paying rack rate for Poly garden view concierge. We will be there 10/9-10/16. I am not sure if they went too quickly or if there just weren't any released for Poly GVC. I had sent her an email by 8:00 a.m. and heard back from her rather quickly that there were none available for my dates.

I haven't heard anything yet, but I have faith that they will get back to me by tomorrow. Marla and Sue Ellen have been so helpful so far, so I've sent them another trip later in the year to work on! The waiting makes me nervous, but the phone calls from the UK cost too much for me to phone myself. I heard that some people have been waiting on the phone for an hour or more today!

I have a year to obsess about this. If I email Cathy at DU with alternative resorts for the rates, I should be ok,right? We are currently booked for CSR, but are hoping to upgrade to WL or AKL. If necessary we would go to CBR. If she knows all this in advance, she should be able to find SOMETHING. Another stupid question. If I have booked with DU, can I call for rates myself,too ? Would that increase my odds?

I got it, or at least Dagny got it for me! She rocks. We are staying at Pop Century for 2 nights pre-cruise! Woo Hoo- DU is the only way to go.

The wonderful Sue Ellen, managed to get us a discount of -$900.00 for our 12 night vacation at POR/AKL.

Needless to say I'm jumping for joy.

Yes, Sue Ellen managed to get our AP rates. Being in Australia making phones calls overseas at the certain time is near impossible. before I went to bed last night the rates were starting to appear on the boards. However when I got up and checked my e-mail (luckily since I don't get a chance every morning) there was a message from Sue Ellen saying the dates and places we wanted weren't available. I said get whatever you can within our buget. Half and hour later we had CBR standard room (originally booked preferred) and AKL savannah view (originally WL). SO I'm rather thrilled cause for half and hour I was wondering where we were going to stay OFF SITE :-(.

Marla was able to get the AP rate applied to my reservation at CSR for October 23-31, standard room. I was actually in the process of emailing her coworker Sue Ellen because Marla had emailed a message saying that she would be on vacation this week. Marla had gotten the AP rate applied before the email went through while she was at WDW. I can not say enough about the professionalism and teamwork at Dreams Unlimited. I know that if I am on vacation, I do not want to be thinking about work. The agents at Dreams work very hard. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank them. Thank you!

Yes Dreams Unlimited and my wonderful agent, Jason (thank you!!), got the AP discount today. No luck yesterday but it seems everyone was having problems yesterday when they were first released. I didn't have to wait long this morning and Jason contacted me with the discounted rate info!

We got POFQ from Dec. 1-10.

Our DU agent has provided us with outstanding service on our last three Disney trips!

I'm an obsessive planner but handing the reins over to DU is worth it! I don't have to spend any time on the phone booking rooms, meals, etc. For a mom of an almost five year old, this is an exceptional service!

Try DU...you won't regret it!

I booked a room for 5 nights during Thanksgiving in April through DU. Today I got an email from Marla, that Disney has released new discounts and I am saving $120. I am extremely impressed with DU and would highly recommend them.
