I received an e-mail from my dreams agent that she changed my rate from the code to an AP. I don't have an AP and don't have any intentions of getting one! I already have my 5 day PHPs and I won't be returning until MAYBE May 2004. Its a $600.00 difference between the reg rate and the code I had. If there are any Dreams agents out there could you please let me know!!

What did your Dreams agent say when you told her you never wanted to apply the AP rate to your reservation? Did she say she was unable to get the prior rate back?

She has not gotten back to me. That is why I'm sooo nervous. I can't afford another $600.00 DH would kill me and he would be turned off from Disney forever! I just don't know why she would do that without asking me first.

I haven't used Dreams myself, but I am planning on using them for part of my trip this coming summer. I've heard wonderful things about them, and I'm sure they will take care of this problem. I hope you hear from her soon.

Good luck!

Teresa

My agent got back to me and put back the code rate. This is my first time using them so I panicked. I like to plan so turning this over to Dreams was a first. I was just extremely worried because the codes ended on Sunday.

I saw on Mousesavers that they extended the codes until today due to the computer problems they were having.

kmermaid,

happy to know that you got response from your Dreams agent and everything is working good for you. I know how you feel right now since your reservation is in someone else's hand. I went through that experience last year while planning my honeymoon vacation and I never regreted getting Dreams to help me out with the booking. Just relax. Your DU agent is very experienced and well trained on handling the reservation.

I know they look for lower rates so I wonder if somehow, somewhere, there was a box checked that said you had an AP & to look for those rates.

I'm glad to hear it all worked out for you!

What is the cost associated with using Dreams Unlimited to book your hotel versus doing it yourself?

There is no cost at all. Disney pays Dreams Unlimited Travel a commission on each reservation with NO aditional cost passed on to the client. Dreams Unlimited books their reservations directly with Disney. So, your reservation is held by Disney the entire time.

Glad it all worked out. Just a thought, I "think" you can edit your original post just to update that subject line if you want to. I say I think so because I've never done it. It just seems like you were pleased with their response. It's REALLY none of my business, it's just that I think (I'm not positive) Dreams is the owner of the DIS and the reason we're all here. Please don't misunderstand this post. I hate those posts that go on and on with people bashing each other. I just wanted to be sure you knew it was a function you "could" use, but of course only if you wanted to.

Thanks Simonmunro for suggesting the edit. I was worried about how I was coming off and really wanted to right the situation. :o
