OK, we are going in December and I don't want to be disadvantaged by having only 3 FP+ selections a day (which may not work from what I've heard) and no ability to get additional ones on the day. I can see they want to test this but I don't want to be part of that test as this will be the last time I can go to WDW for many years.
If we are one of the "selected ones" not to be offered a KTTW card, what is the best angle to take at check in to make sure we do get one?
"Security concerns re Magic Bands"?
"Allergy of the MB material"? ;-)
"Having heard reports of problems with MB's"?

I love the unsourced quote in the middle, makes it oh-so "official"!
We had a couple of times where one of our party didn't register properly at a FP+ entrance, but the CMs just waved us through. I would have been really upset if we had to trek all the way back to guest services for that. That is most definitely NOT a magical experience. Sorry that happened to you! Hopefully Disney will implement a better way of dealing with those sorts of issues.
