I ask because it seemed like there was almost a panic to be the first in line to call on Thursday, but my travel agent (and friend) got it no problem and I still see it advertised, so it hasn't sold out. Just curious if the frantic dialing and worrying was really necessary. :)

Probably not. I think the big rush was ppl wanting their specific room type and making sure they got it. Most wanted AoA, POR, and POFQ as well.

I feel bad for all the ppl who were on hold forever yesterday. I called at 10:30pm and only waited 10 mins. Got the resort and room type I wanted so all was good.:yay:

Yep, the Nemo suites were very limited at AoA and a lot of people were disappointed by that.

Only the Little Mermaid rooms were blacked out, but they have been blacked out of virtually every discount since they opened last year.

I believe other buildings (specifically Nemo) were very limited as well though. If I'm not mistaken, I think the Nemo rooms with free dining were sold out on Monday (the first day for Visa holders, before it ever came available to the GP)for many dates in Sept.

Yes, I think it is worth it! If you want a specific resort they only have so many available. We are not going this year, but reading different posts I have found many even on Disney Visa day not getting the resorts they wanted. In past years I have found even calling back with persistence, that people finally got what they wanted. In the past people have booked rooms before free dining. When free dining comes they try to get the same resort, but sometimes change to something completely different and add more days. Because of all the changes I have heard of people calling back everyday to see if the resort they wanted opened up. From their persistence they got what they wanted. There usually is a flurry of activity and change, the dust flies and sometimes the pixie dust lands just right! Depends on how much you care where you land!:upsidedow

The Nemo rooms were limited, but they were available through the GP FD promo also. As the pp indicated, be persistent, some people cancel or move their dates and things can open up. It's not like they are specifically blacked out like the LM rooms.

DH and I were talking that it didn't seem like they released as many rooms this time. POR only has royal garden and river view left and POFQ is sold out.

ETA: as of 10:38 EST, POR royal garden rooms are sold out too. Only thing left is royal river.
