Did anyone watch Kid Nation

Well when i heard about it i thought that it was stupid
But i watched it and it was really cool and a good theme especially when they got the 20,000$

OMG!!! I love this show!! I was going to be on the show, but due to some issues I had to back down. Even though it looks hard, I still would LOVE to be on it. I may try-out to be on the next one, but IDK. (not the second season, because they already had try-outs.)

I agree. There is so much contraversy regarding the contract these kids had to sign. Their interviews, jobs, and basically lives are controlled for 3 years (I think its 3 years) after the show. And the releases they had to sign are incredible.

Funny how where they filmed the show the child labor laws were very very weak, and have now been tightened up.

And I hear the second season will be filmed out of country, and why is that? No state has weak enough child labor laws to allow this.

The filming wasn't even done in the summer, they took these kids out of school for 6 weeks.

And I do know one child on the show and she had a great experience. I understand that she had fun, but I don't think it was worth the risk of what could have happend.

Wow I thought this would be done during the summer, but out of school, wow. This looks great. And there are medical teams if need be. It is amazing what these kids can do, it looks so cool.

I watched it last night because it was repeated on CBS. At first I thought it was a dumb idea for a show. But when you watch it you realize how smart these kids are and how well they speak. I surely didn't speak that well for an 8 year-old. I think I would have been like Jimmy and gone home. I was a wicked shy kid, still shy now. I wouldn't have been able to handle being thrown into a kids world.

The girl who danced for money was funny. I'm glad she won the gold star.

I love the show and if i had the chance to be on it, i'd do it in a heartbeat.
Its not like there aren't any adults around, theres camera crew and the host. If they thought the kids were in danger then they would be taken out of the situation immediately.

True, but honestly some things in the contract made me cringe. I wont repeat them here on this forum, but they are really not appropriate. There is a huge thread on another forum (not Disney, its an actors forum) discussing the pros and cons of this show. If anyone is that interested, or if anyone wants to audition for this show, I would recomend reading the whole thread. You can PM me for the address.

I dont know how she tried out but it is on Wed at 7central 8 pacific on Cbs
