I'm proud to say that I LOVED the newest episode, "Broke". I'm happy that the whole Dunder-Mifflin Scranton "family" is back together again. Honestly, I hated Charles Miner. He didn't appreciate Jim enough - because of one small prank he pulled on the day Charles arrived, Jim was treated like a total slacker, which he isn't. I mean sure, he made them work harder than they did when Michael was their boss, but it seemed like he didn't connect with them enough, the way Michael did. He just saw them as the people who worked for him, and nothing more. I'm glad Michael, Ryan, and Pam stood their ground in the confrence room, and didn't totally back down like I thought they would. Michael was assertive, and didn't settle for just anything. I'm also glad that Pam didn't get her old job back, because then it wouldn't be any different than the way it was before, and it's what she wants to be doing. She makes a good salesperson anyway...did you see how well she settled that deal with "Russell from the pancake luncheon" in 'Michael Scott Paper Company'? I think she'll do well, and she'll finally be happy again. I'm hoping that Ryan does more now that he's back from Fort Lauderdale and finally sober. I'm starting to like him better now, since he's been less cocky and more business-minded. But I think after everything that happened the first time he got fired, they might stick him in the warehouse or something and make him work his way back up, to prove himself. I'm curious to see what happens between Michael and Dwight now that Michael's back as Reigional Manager, and after Dwight tried to rat him out to Charles. I think he'll try to gain Michael's trust back, which should be funny to see. Something that I just thought of: with Ryan back at DM, will Kelly try and hit on him now that Charles is gone? And will Dwight and Angela get back together? I guess I'll have to wait and see...
Since there are only 2 episodes left of Season 5, I don't think Jim and Pam's wedding will air until Season 6. I can't wait to see how that all pans out...I'm guessing it'll be just as chaotic as Phyllis and Bob Vance's wedding, but they'll make it special, since we've all been hoping they'd work out from the beginning.
Sorry for my rambling...it's just that this was the first episode I've loved in a long time, and I'm super excited to see what happens next week. What did you think of "Broke", and what do you want to see next?
P.S. I looked on OfficeTally.com, and the next two episodes are titled "Casual Friday" and "Company Picnic". I'm guessing that next week, Michael's famous "fun jeans" are back; and that the season finale should be interesting, since I'm guessing that all the DM branches in the Northeast will be there. Looks like a Jim/Karen reunion is in the works...should be funny, since she's married and was pregnant the last time we saw her in "Lecture Circuit"
