Did anyone see the cops on July 9th!

We were just arriving to stay one night at ASM. Just passed the Welcome to Disney sign and were following the signs to the resort when all of a sudden we see several police cars. We were thinking who is here today? We were almost to the intersection when one of the cars pulled in front of a car and the other cars surround it. All cops were out with their guns aimed at the driver. They pulled him out and put him face first on the ground with guns still on him. They then got the lady out --guns on her as well. Cuffed them both and led them away. THere were about 7 or 8 police cars--they took the peoples car and parked it on the side of the road--traffic started moving then---the car had for sale all over it--so my husband and I were thinking that they tried to steal it. As driving by the car we both looked at each other and said, "I have only seen that on COPS". My kids were kind of scared, but the moment quickly passed. We did hear a couple of people talking about it later because a Mickey bus stopped beside it all.

I have never laughed so hard on this board! All the guesses at why some "guests" were arrested at gunpoint.

My guess at why they were arrested?

They used flash photography during an attraction.

(That or they did not keep their hands in place on the monirail. Por favor, mantenga los manos y ....."

I am sorry to report that it was far worse than all that. I know for a fact that what happened was they smuggled a contraband microwave into their room and the smell of the popcorn fumes drove the next person to occupy the room to swear out a felony warrant for their arrest. They might be lucky to get away with a twenty year sentence. Zapping a pizza will get you a life sentence. (grin)

Was it a non-popping room, or a popping optional room? Wasn't there a recent study finding second hand popcorn fumes to be hazardous?

Can't these people pop corn out on the balconies instead of smelling up the rooms for non-popping guests?
