It was too funny! I guess they must have talked about it before, because they were reading letters/emails on it. Anyway, I guess one of them went to WDW over the holidays, and so they were all complaining about scooter mania. They stressed they were not complaining about the people who truly needed them. But, all the people who were just using them to get ahead in lines, butt in walk ways, etc... Its rare you get to hear about WDW trips of others on the radio. But, boy were they frustrated with scooters running over them to get to a line, and then see the person walking and in some cases trotting along just fine ahead of everyone else in the line.
They even read a ltrs from some truly disabled people unable to get the scooters they need because of all the lazy people who don't really need them. One ltr they read was from a guy who broke his leg and had it in a hip to ankle cast. He went to a grocery store that only had 2 scooters and one was being charged. An older lady came up to him as he sat on the scooter complaining she needed it, so being a gentleman, he gave it to her, as he hobbled behind a cart with the casted foot resting on the bottom of the cart. As he was done checking out, he saw it was raining outside, and the same little old lady hopped off the scooter and literally "ran" to her car. He said if he could have reached her, he would have let her have it. What a story! I just wondered if anyone heard this morning's show?
