Hi :wave2:

Did anyone go to WDW this April?

What were the crowds like?

My parents went in May before and said it was really, really busy.

What's it like in April?

Thanks

Hi

We went on the 15th - 30th and it was lovely (think you should avoid easter though as I guess this would be very busy). Yes the parks were a little busy but nothing compared to July crowds. The weather was perfect just 14 days of sun!

When you say a little busy, what do you mean?
What were the queues like?

What was your longest queue?

I am used to quiet parks, as we went 2004 and this was when all the hurricanes were going on, and there was even a hurricane when we were there, so without sounding insensitive, it was lovely as the parks were quiet and our longest queue was prob about 10-15 mins.

Thank you
xx :goodvibes

I think our longest queue was for Splash Mountain which was 25 minutes. Test Track at Epcot was 40 minutes but we just got a fast pass. All the others were about 10 - 15 minutes.

Oh, not too bad then.

Do you know if Easter is the same time in the US as here?

This years it's 16th April, so to avoid Easter (if it's the same time as the UK) we would need to fly out on 1st April.

Hey, I noticed you are in Kettering.
I am in Wellingborough.
Cool!

Hey, and congrats on your up and coming wedding!

Easter IS at the same time although different states and schools have differing amounts of time off, Good Friday is 14 April so some schools could break up as early as end March! just be aware that a lot of people too add holidays on a week either side of official times so April could pretty much all be classed as holiday break!

Hmmmm, I was thinking that.

In your opinion, when would you go if you could pick any time of year?

We aren't fussed on going at a special time (xmas or whatever).

We would prefer it to be fairly quiet.

I'd definately go in October as we had fantastic weather and good crowd level last year, then you have the option of MNSSHP if you want it, have only been in march before ans as it was spring break it was a bit busier and it did rain a bit. Am doing November this year as we couldn't arrange october due to work things etc

Thanks for the info.

My parents were going in Jan, but I am trying to talk my DH round into going with them, but we can't go until after April cuz of DH holiday runs April to April.

Not sure if my parents will want to wait until Oct as they were supposed to be going in Jan, that's why I was thinking of early April.

I know once you get into May, it gets busier and hotter cuz of school hols.

Wonder what June is like?
:confused3 :confused3

Generally June is good for anywhere! just remember there is a half term at the end of may so going 2nd or 3rd week should be economically better as all kids will be back to school

Thanks for the info.
Will speak to my Mummy-kins and see what she thinks.
