Hopefully some of you July trippers can take advantage of the newly released AP codes. I am encouraged that Disney has released these codes and hopefully they can be taken advantage of by some of you.
What irks me a little bit and this is a minor rant is the fact that as of 2PM eastern we (DW and I) have received no warning (customary email) of a pending (or now released) AP OPPORTUNITY. Don't get me wrong I appreciate that the codes are released and it does not affect me because our next trip is for F&W but, it sure would be nice to be given a heads up prior to non-AP folks gobbling these rooms up. I know, you are all saying but we are ALL AP holders, at least when the codes are released you are LOL. What I'm trying to say is it would seem a bit more correct to allow existing AP holders a day or two to book online (similar to the BRP) prior to releasing these to the general public. I understand that you are supposed to have an AP or voucher to check-in but I have witnessed guest meltdowns firsthand (WL last November) when a guest booked an AP rate and could not produce the AP or voucher at check-in and it was UGLY. Its just my personal opinion but I think this may be contributing somewhat to the apparently apprehensive release of discount rooms. OK, rant over.
Hopefully some of you were able to take advantage of this release.
Have fun.
Cheers,
Schuey

One of the posters gave me a hard time for being so quick to put up the announcement, without knowing the EXACT dates (July/August didn't help me either, as our vacation is in June). My main concern was getting the word out that SOMETHING was out ASAP to all of those who have been getting up WAY too early each and every morning in the attempt to get AP discounts. I literally handed the phone to my wife (Who was in the shower at the time) the INSTANT the operator stated, "Oh my God, they ARE out"! As soon as I hit the submit button, my wife shouted out, "NO JUNE DATES"! What can you do? I tried. Still, I'm REALLY happy for those who DID get AP rates.
I believed you this morning when I read your YES post! I was right there when you posted this morning, but not quite awake enough to defend you then.
