After a year in high school and a year in college, I can still only ask where the bathroom is, and I'm probably doing that wrong, too. Oh, that, and my ex's mother didn't speak a lick of english, so I just stared at her in wonder as she babbled at me for eight years in that mysterious language that I just can't seem to master.
