Did anyone else have this issue with Cheaptickets?

I booked 2 rooms at the Caribbean Beach (room only) for August 11. I canceled them a couple of days later. Cheaptickets is saying Disney's policy is to charge $25 cancel fee per room. I thought Disney's policy is 5 days prior with a room only. I'm going to call them and see if I can get that reversed.

Sounds more like a Cheaptickets policy than a Disney policy.

Cheap tickets is lying. Its all BS. They are charging it and are saying its Disney.

it states on the confirmation that they don't have this cancelation policy but Dinsey does. I'm going to call them.

One thing is if they are booking through a room block and not through one they've purchased Disney could actually have a fee. When we booked with D23 housing they specially said Disney has a convention housing cancellation fee and it is handled through and entirely different department. Maybe cheaptickets is similar in that depending how the rooms are booked in the Disney system there is a different cancellation then just a standard straight through Walt Disney Travel booking.

I bet it is a fee Disney between Disney and CheapTickets. It isn't the policy between Disney and people who book direct but it doesn't mean Disney doesn't have a different policy in this kind of situation.

Orbitz and Expedia do the same thing, it's in small print on your confirmation page. I've found one or two Disney resorts that they don't charge for but most of them do.

The $25.00 cancel fee started "fairly" recently-it is legit-you'll have to pay it.

Yep, it's a legit fee that is only done with some 3rd party agencies. It should have stated on their booking page when you made your reservation. Did it?
