Did anybody see this yet?

Sounds like it could get ugly. What a tragic accident!
Encouraging a lawsuit doesn't seem to be the answer.

Not touching that one with a ten foot pole!!!!!

It's sad, but I'm always skeptical about these things. My prayers are with them no matter what.

Wow some of those people are not very nice.:sad2:

WOW is right. That is scary but can happen. My sister hit the buttons and ran me over knocking me to the ground and she had literally just hit the button from a stopped position. Unfortunately accidents do happen. Steering clear of that thread. I would say the negligance airs on the side of the doctor who mis diagnosed her.

A tragic accident is all I can say, but then again hundreds of tragic accidents happen on roads all the time and you don't see cars being banned do you?

I feel for them, and they don't need people questioning its legitimacy, but I hate the idea both that a law suit would do any good or that those who really do need ECV's would be denied it.

Personally I am waiting for confirmation from the tv or newspaper. I can't find anything here yet that confirms the story.

If it is true it really is a tragedy.

I am a skeptic by nature, so I'm keeping quiet.

WOW!
I feel for this person and their loss.
This is a sad thing to have happened.

I agree. I'm shocked nothing has hit the news about this. It definitely is unfortunate if true.

If true, it's a tragic accident. Yes, accidents happen....not anyone's fault...they just happen.

I'm not afraid to say that I think this is too much of a coincidence that it mirrors the tragic accident that happened to Natasha Richardson. I'm a total skeptic for many reasons.

First, when I lost a close family member, I did NOT post on the DIS about my loss when it was still fresh. That alone rings false to me. Also, ECVs don't run on gas.

And any accident (which it would have been at any case) at Disney has been documented and newsworthy.

The Columbia cleat at Disneyland that DID kill a guest.
The cast member who died from the parade float.
Guests who have died after riding Mission:Space and Rock n Roller Coaster.

There are other incidents that made the news, as well.

We've heard about all of these things. If we do hear about this in the next couple of days, then I will retract everything I'm saying. Until then, I think it's horrible to contemplate the person posting this for some sad, sick reason.

Think that's possibly even more tragic, Kathy.
Best wishes are with the family.

:goodvibes

As referenced above, the cause of death originally reported turned out not to be the case. The poster of this story came back to update and tell people what really happened after they had more information. Disney and ECVs had nothing to do with it.
