Did AAA reimburse you when Free Dining came out?

For those that had most- if not all of their package paid when the free dining offer came out, were you reimbursed the difference? ... Assuming you still stayed at your original resort?.

I'm still learning how all this works out. We're going to the world in Sept. instead of May of next year and are hoping some kind of discount will come out. We're planning on booking with AAA soon and are hoping to have it paid off at least a couple of months before our trip. I just hope we'll still be able to get any new discounts with AAA then.

Also, I'm trying to remember when they first announced the free dining for this year??. I really want to stay on top of things. Sorry this is long and thank you VERY much (in advance).

The way it works with AAA, is that you have to choose between the free meal plan or the 20% off you get on your trip. So you have to know the one that's better for your pockets!!! But be shure that you won't have free meal plan and the 20% discount!

So if I book a package through AAA, and then free dining is offered, do I have to cancel the AAA package and re-book through Disney? Or can I keep the original booking with AAA and just change it to rack rates?

Your TA at AAA is supposed to do that for you ! He's gonna cancel et re-book with the free dining! But I don't know when the next free dining will be! We are going the first week of January and I hope that we could have it!!!
