Where do y'all ut your pumps? Obvious answer is one of the garter pouches which I already have, but i's not comfortable for long periods of time. I usually use it or just go with the regular injections for a bit if I have not pockets or it's too hot to stuff the thing in my bra, but I imagine getting a needle under the dress wont be easy and I don't want to risk feeling crappy for even a minute.

Can you get pockets added to dresses? Is that a thing? I don't actually know how any of this really works yet :o

I will probably just do injections for the day. It seems like the easiest option. I did the whole put in my bra for my first wedding, and it worked ok, but it kept wanting to slip out and move around so it wasn't too comfy. I totally understand not wanting to to the garter thing-that is just way to awkward to try and get to if you need it. I would think a pocket would have many of the same issues....Just my two cents!

I've got no fat on my arms, but i suppose I could reach my thighs for an injection depending on the kind of dress I get.

They should be able to add a pocket to your dress. I'm not diabetic so I don't know all the ins and outs but adding a pocket shouldn't be that hard. When you shop for your dress I'd talk to the consultant and whoever they have that does alterations if you have more detailed questions.

A seamstress should be able to put a simple, on-seam pocket in your dress for your pump. This kind of stuff is done all the time.

yes.
As long as they are altering the dress for you anyway, there is no reason they can't add a pocket. Think of just where you would need/want it and the size of the pocket before you go in for your fitting.
As you are trying on gowns, keep that need in mind. You might need to show the bridal consultant your pump and where it needs to go so they can pick gowns that could accommodate it - obviously, a very tight fitting sheath gown would have less opportunities for pockets/hiding anything, than one with a fuller skirt.

For prom we had a pocket put in my daughters skirt that had a small slit for the tubing . That way she could easily bolus. It wAs placed just like a pocket in pants.

I stitched a pocket into a friends crinoline for her pump... just made a simple cotton square basically. She had to hike the dress a bit to get to it, but it seemed to work for her. I don't know anything about how they work, I just had her show me where she wanted it and added it in.
