Okay, just a little bit. I met him at my local pool, he is a lap swimmer too. We got along so well, and I had no idea that he is a doctor. So we have been swimming togethor for awhile, and he finally asked me out.

Wait that cant be it. What are you doing on your date? Is it during the day or at night?

Oops, I side-tracked Esmerelda's thread!

Well, I have two daddy's already, a real one and a step one, so I don't need anymore of those. Lol, that is hilarious!

We are going to a local Visual Arts Festival and having dinner. I think the festival also has local musicians and performers, so it should be fun.

Mental note don't call him "Doc", "Dr. Zhivago" or "Dr. Strangelove!'

He has seen me in a swimsuit and is still interested, so that is a plus! Yes, he looks good in his!

I talked to him on the phone for 2 1/2 hrs. last night, so I feel a little more comfortable with him.

This dibby dab stuff reminds me of a secretary I once had. We were putting some materials together once and some papers got out of order. She said "No big deal, just grab a deal-a-flinchy and we'll put them together the right way." I asked for clarification and she said "you know, a deal-a-flinchy." I once again asked what whe was talking about and she got all exasperated, went to her desk, grabbed a staple remover, held it up, rolled her eyes an said "Good grief, have you never used a deal-a-finchy!"

Why would anyone want to use that expression? Like Snoopy said, it annoyed the H out of her and seemed like "baby talk". Why would anyone want to deliberately go out of their way to be like that? For attention? I think a grown woman talking like a baby needs to have her head examined, personally. I agree with Snoopy when she said it was weird.

sanken you would be pronounced like sanka coffee I guess, just with a "en" sound at the end. It's lovely not irritating at all.

Neither are the nicknames she has for her grandchildren I might have to have DH be the mean guy when we have kids and put a ban on a goofy nickname for our child.
