Diaper rash nightmare. My poor baby.

I haven't read the replies so don't know if anyone has suggested this. With my oldest he got diaper rashes so bad they'd bleed; we had to put him in cloth diapers so he'd get some air to that area. With my youngest the DR told me to buy an antifungal, the creme you use for athletes foot, I used lotrimin. That clears it right up and is the only thing I used on her and she never had bad diaper rashes after that.

When DH was a baby, we had trouble finding the correct formula and she had very bad diaper rash. The pediatrician gave her a prescription and it usually cleared right up. Flanders Buttocks Cream also works really well. (cheesey name but boy is that stuff good!) It is over the counter but you usually have to ask the pharmacist for it. Once she had a rash so bad, her little hiney was as red as Mickey's shorts and the other creams weren't touching it. The pdeiatrician prescribed something with a compound (it was like a thick Vasoline) but that stuff cleared the problem up overnight. The pharmacist said because it is so thick, it acts as a barrier and the urine can't touch the sore area.

If it is indeed diaper rash, the only thing that worked on my DD recently was Aquafor. It's more expensive than Desitin but seemed to be powerful stuff...

It's yeast, not diaper rash. Use Lamisil or something like that...I think they have some specifically for babies.

Little bumps = yeast infection. Happened all the time to DD #2 after being on antibiotics. Call the doctor. I had to use prescription creme to clear it up.

I didn't read all the replies but I used to put my kids in aveeno bath and it would clear it up really fast. I would also use baby oil and kleenex instead of babywipes when they had a rash.
