Hi,

After a successful purchase of some gold earings this year my mind has turned to greater things.

I noticed the price of diamonds seems way better over in US and I suddenly feel the need for a diamond pendant for my birthday.

:bday:

Sadly I cant tell the difference between a good diamond and cut glass (so why waste money on diamonds I hear you think).
;)

Has anyone any experience of buying diamond jewellery while over there or could anyone recommend a good jewellers?

WELL HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUT I WOULDNT GO WITHOUT ASKING AN ASSISTANT FIRST AND IF THEY SAY ITS REAL GET IT BUT IF IT LOOKS WRONG IN ANY KINDA WAY DONT GET IT

DH has kindly purchased several pieces of jewellery for me in the States over the years.
Bear in mind that they only use 14K gold and if you're spending a lot of money stick to somewhere like Tiffany's which is a trusted name.
I've been happy with what I have but don't think it's as good value as you can get in the UK. It's been purchased for sentimental reasons so I'm happy with it but a bargain? Probably not.
The nicest piece I have was made with 2 pearls from the oyster bar in Epcot. We took them to a local jeweller who designs and makes his own goods. He set them in gold to my design and I love it!
