Diamond Horseshoe?

OK, I've searched several sites and still don't have a good handle on exactly what the Diamond Horseshoe is. Granted only been to WDW twice and both times there was the Refurb for Your Future Enjoyment signs up in front of it. (Oct 08 & Mar 09).

Is it a CS resturant or just open at special times/events? Or something else entirely.

The last I heard they opened up when the crowds are large for a homestyle all you care to eat like LTT... but thats the last I heard..I think I heard that during the holiday seasons.

The diamond horseshoe revue was a CS dinner show a long time ago.

I remember going there in 77 and getting sandwiches wrapped in saran wrap, chips and a drink.

They had a show and near as can remember it was something like a shorter HDDR.

After a while it closed and they turned it into a meet and great with goofy (?) and sometimes a buffet TS during free dining.

Besides that there is nothing else going on there.

mand-mom is correct. right now, it's a part-time CS location.

It is also used during the special holidays as well. For MVMCP, it is one of the cookie spots and a character spot. I have also seen meetings conducted in there by CMs.

Thanks to all that replied. Now I don't feel like an idiot. Now I know not to worry about getting there on our next trip Oct 09 since we'll be going at a "slower" time.
